After the bunny massacre of a few days back, the boys have devised a hunting strategy.

Seriously.

Losi runs around to the back side of the row of kennels to search.

Sole waits on the front side just far enough back to let the little juicy treats think they can run to safety.

No bunnies have been located...yet...but they continue to try to perfect this strategy...every time they're let out...

Dog vs. Dragonfly

Walked out to doggie row where a coworker had the boys out...

He tells me that just before I walked in Losi was having a confrontation with a dragonfly...

He was laughing...

Apparently Losi was standing there minding his own business when a dragonfly floated up.

Losi could see it, but wasn't sure what it was...

Dragon fly was apparently going through the same thing trying to figure out Losi.

They bobbed left and right looking at each other for a few minutes before I walked in and Losi felt the immediate need to lick my eyeball.

My new habit/obsession

There's just something about it

I can't explain it

I just feel the need lately to do it

The girl biped laid out this purple, soft sheet on the bedroom floor for us to sleep on...because apparently there just isn't 'room' on the bed for 3 big dogs at night (silliness)...

I feel the need to nibble on this sheet...not chew holes...just nibble...kinda like I do to Losi's face at times..

I love this sheet...I'll nibble for about an hour every morning...about as long as it takes for the girl biped to get ready for work....it's not weird

it was a massacre

went to let the boys out before lunch...found out there were actually THREE baby bunnies killed by those two this morning.

I CAUGHT ONE!

OMG it's been such a great morning.
The bunnies are hiding out in doggie row and when we get there Losi and I make sure to do a thorough check for bunnies.  This morning Losi scared one out, then I chased it...he got away...

BUT

I FOUND A BABY BUNNY!!  And caught it!!

But next time I gotta remember to not take my prize somewhere the girl bi ped can see me...although i don't understand not showing it off AT ALL.  When she saw me with it, she ran yelling and made me drop my prize.  Then she held it in her hands as it died.  WTF...that was my prize...i should have been able to feel the death leave the bunny in my mouth.

I mean i'm not bitter...i like bringing her prizes...i just dont unerstand why i couldn't play with it anymore.

Will try again tomorrow.

Ah-mazing!

So the bi peds took us on the mostest awesomest hike today!!

10 miles!

We hiked 10 miles!

We are exhausted!

Running, and running, and there were small squeaky squirrel like things to run after...and water everywhere.  Even Biju crossed the big creek...though the little one almost got swept away in the current...luckily the girl bi ped caught her...

Then on the way back Sole went swimming at a little pond...

We are EXHAUSTED!

And...btw...the little one gets super cranky after a 10 mile hike...you can't even walk near her!

Boarding update

Picked the boys up Monday evening from the boarding place...

They LOVE it there...

And as I was talking to the guy that works there, here's his update:

Sole is a tree climber.  Apparently there is a big leaning tree in the 25 acres...kinda half way falling over. While the guy was out walking the dogs he climbed up the leaning tree trunk. Another dog followed...then Sole.  The first dog jumped off...but Sole kept going...he said about 10 feet up the tree with him.

The boys REALLY act like human brothers to each other...said he'd have them out walking and they'd be about 50 feet apart, then eye each other and both just crouch down...staring each other down...then charge at each other.  And the normal playing and nibbling on each other's face...

This guy really loves the boys...he'd just smile and go...man these dogs are cool.

Said sole would lay by his feet, then if another dog came over to them sole would snarl a little...this bi ped is mine!

Of course they were asleep in the truck by the time I pulled out of the driveway.  20 min ride home...then they both passed out as soon as they got inside the house.  Sole was so tired that if any other dog got within a foot of him he'd snarl at them...which was pretty much Biju who was so happy to have his friend back.  I left sole home today to rest...he didn't even argue at the front door like he normally would...was fine with sleeping all day.  

Then I went out back because it was so hot inside...sole went over to a tree...dug himself a nice cool spot in the dirt and slept again...

Boarding

Yeah....this makes me feel really good.

Since I'm heading to Florida early tomorrow I had to drop the boys off at boarding this afternoon.

First, of course, Losi had to run around the chicken coop...but today the chickens were all huddled in the shade...it's like 90 degrees here after all...they weren't up for running around for him.

But then I took the dogs around back to let them in the yard...when Losi saw Laurie his tail started wagging and he tried licking her eyeball.

He likes her!  Yeah!!

It makes me so happy that he's happy there and with Laurie.  Sole is good anywhere...let's face it...but Losi is a little more nervous.

I know she cleaned out the closet as a place for the red boy to hide from the boom sticks (fireworks)...but it's a special...and I get the special around here...

Fine fine...ok...I'll let him have it...but I better get another extra special special to make up for this.

The extra special special didn't come in time so I took it out on the toy...I feel good.

Can we go to the park now?
