Oh jeez, you mean me...

There I was...sitting on my chair in the living room eating dinner off the TV tray.
I sense a presence to my left.
Look over...sole is just sitting there staring at me.

What's up sole?
You look like you need something.

He clearly needs something. He's frowning. He's shuffling.
He's eaten dinner. He has water. The back door is open.
The other dogs aren't on their dog beds.  No one has a treat that he doesn't have.

What's up? What do you need?
He looks at me...looks at the chair I'm sitting in. Looks at me. Looks at the chair...
I look behind me and realize the blanket I lay out on the chair...the one that is only for the dogs...the one that signals they're allowed on the chair...the one that hasn't been on the chair for a few weeks, but was on earlier tonight before I ate dinner...is visibly folded up on the back of the chair.

I'm in his special.
Ooooooh.....

The bunny issue.

Thursday

Lookie…isn’t that cute…Kyra and Losi hunting together…
They can smell a little bunny on the other side of that fence.  I’m letting them sniff and dig a little because there’s no way they will be able to get to it…

Crap…what was that high pitched squeak…and what does Losi have in his mouth.
Sonofabitch…he pulled the stupid baby bunny through the fence link.
Drop it Losi.
More high pitched squeaks as he runs away with it in his mouth…dropping and readjusting occasionally…high pitched squeak.
Drop it Losi!

Picture Losi dropping it with a boxer and Kyra watching every move.  Picture the little bunny desperately trying to get away…dragging his broken back left leg.  Me thinking, shit, no way it’s gonna live…what do I do now?  Luckily, Kyra swoops in and takes care of that problem.

Crap, Kyra drop it!
Picture blood dripping from the bunny hanging out of Kyra’s mouth (seriously!)
Finally got her to drop it…and got the poor little guy to the trash (even though Kyra tried a fairly impressive jump up to get it from my hands)

Friday morning.

Losi and Sole this time.
OK, I know if I take Losi in doggie row he’ll run straight back to that spot and try to get another bunny.
So…I’ll walk them on leash on the outside of the fence and let them sniff…surely any bunnies will hear us coming and run off…then maybe Losi won’t obsess inside the fence all day.
FYI…baby bunnies are stupid.
Losi casually walks over to the spot to sniff…promptly reaches down and grabs a bunny.
It didn’t even try to run.
Baby bunnies are really stupid.

Made him drop it and watched as it was clearly on its last leg…figured what the hell…may as well let them finish it off quickly…hoping they don’t eat it.

They traded it between each other…dropped it…licked it…several times…

5 bunnies they’ve killed in Doggie Row this summer.
That is a Doggie Row record.
