Last post.

Well. After 16 months...the Adventures of Black and Yellow have come to an end.

My brother has returned from deployment...the boys have their bi-ped back.

We did the epic reveal...yes...for dogs....Bryan met us at the dog park...whistled...

...and the boys ran full speed at him and proceeded to jump all over him for a solid 20 min.

Losi won't leave his side. Sole won't stop smiling.

They're in Seattle for another week...then road trip back to Alabama with a stop in Dallas.

I'll be with them until Dallas...then...with tearful eyes I'm sure...I'll head back to Seattle.

I don't know what it's gonna be like to be able to walk thru the house without a hurricane of dogs at my feet.  I'll miss these guys...so will Biju and Kyra...

Oh and I'm real happy to have Bryan back from Afghanistan...blah blah blah...

It's just..that...

It's just that I think I should be up there...not him...

Hikes & your car

Decided to do two hiking trips today...why? Why not. 

1st...the boys...

Next...my pups...

I do feel really good about myself now that I completely evicerated that toy.  I mean did you SEE how swiftly I did that! Turns out the entire inside was a little stuffing and a huge...I mean huge...squeaky making thing.

I'm real proud of myself...as if you can't tell by my strut.

K. I'm gonna go back over there to squeake that thing for another 13 minutes...

Last hike in WA

Well, we made it a good one...

Saturday we got up and headed up to Snoqualmie pass for a 6.5 mile hike...

Kyra (perched on my lap) didn't care where we were going...as long as we go...

Bad, pic, but great hike...plenty of little creeks and bridges...

Passed one lake...too many people for Kevin...though the dogs ran down to say hi and I'm pretty sure I heard someone sy something about a dog eating his cliff bar...

Got to the next lake...ice covered...but they didn't care...

Best walk ever.

That's a direct quote from my coworker Austin.

Austin owns Al...the boxer.  Losi and Al are buds and the boys love Austin...probably because he always lets them out on doggie row and gives them love and treats.  

Here's how it goes when I go let the dogs out.  Let Losi out...try to make him stop licking my eyeball by saying 'go get...(insert name of whichever other dog came with us that day'.  So Losi runs four kennels down to get the other dog out.  Then, whether I say it or not, Losi runs down to the end of doggie row where Al's crate is to get him...because that's usually where I head next.  They don't really play together...they're just out together...and every once in a while Al will get Losi running around doggie row.  

But we do go on walks often with Al and Austin.

So the other day Austin stopped by my desk and said 'I'm heading out for a walk, I'll take the guys if you want' there was discussion about him walking 3...although with that dual leash thingy the boys are super well behaved.  So I said sure.  I even offered to let Sole off if it got to be too much...because he will always stick close like the well behaved gentleman he is.

He came back and said it was one of the best walks yet...all three, on leash, walked like perfectly behaved boys side by side...

Side note-Austin is really sad to see he boys go...he loves their quirky personalities...

This morning...

Ok we're done with breakfast...you know it's time to go outside...you know I don't go outside until after breakfast...

I'll stand by the door until you open it.

No...it's raining...I'll wait.

You sure big guy? We both know you need to go.

No...you know I'm not a fan of the rain. I'll wait.

Found this on their Facebook page...clearly after a day of romping...see Losi cuddled up under the blankie...and sole right behind him...so cute

Dinner? No, I couldn't

I mean you saw the trash all over the living room floor...I got into that treat cabinet and really went to town.  It's your fault, really, you left me here today...

Gawd, I'm so full...I hate it when I eat that much...I mean I feel like it's just going straight to my thighs...

On a side note, I really like those salmon treats.

And...you might wanna be alert around 3AM...I feel like this is gonna make my stomach upset...

Day 1

...in the new car our bi-ped bought for us.

The girl bi-ped had us in the back...which was nice actually.
It's comfy...and smells good.

Then, at the end of the day she laid the back seats down to give us more room.
And something about me just jumping into the back seats while she was at her boot camp anyway...yeah, i probably would have.

That's when things got a little weird.
First off, we thought we were doign the right thing by running through the sloshy mud puddles before jumping into the car...but she seemed really upset that our paws were all covered in mud...and then REALLY upset when I did my shake off in the car.

What. That's what we do...we shake off AFTER we jump in the car.  We've been consistant in this for the last year...

This whole new car and new space is gonna take  a little getting used to...Losi feels better if he stands like this.

But we both seem to still like to lay at the back.
The girl bi-ped is making some adjustments...we'll see how that works.

Ok she jumped down for a drink of water and I sprang up.

Pulled that toy out of this months Bark Box a whole 10 min ago.

Guess that'll teach me to leave him home and take other dogs...

I got to go on a special walk with the bi peds tonight...don't worry Sole went on one with the girl biped earlier...

We went to this place and the small boy biped disappeared...he went into this confusing place with doors that keep randomly opening by themselves and eating people.

I will guard the girl to ensure she does t get take away from me.

I don't like the small boy but he's mine to not like...oh yeah he's back...will return to protecting my girl biped from him...

Just to be clear...

I feel I should be in the front of the truck...so I'm just going to sit like this the entire ride mmmk?

Tuesday morning I went and picked the pups up from the boarders...brought them home to sleep.

Started to leave and had three dogs at my feet ready for their 'she's leaving, we're staying' goodbye treat.

Um, where's Sole?

Sole, where are you buddy?

What? Oh I'm in here...cuddled up on the bed in the office...if you could please bring me my treat...I really need to sleep and don't care about leaving with you today...

Dogs are gone for the night...so what do I do...lay in bed and look at pics of the dogs...came across that I didn't post on the blog when the trips happened, but I thought were cool pics...

It's 7pm, we are all lounging, relaxed, sleeping.

When all of a sudden I look up and you're petting losi...

Hello! I'm right here! Why are you petting him over me!?

Is it because he successfully French kissed you today or because he's right there by you and I'm across the room...I'm on the bed you made for me...doesn't that count as something!

To make sure my message is clear...I'm going to stare at you with my frown and flat eyes while you put him...then flip my head down in quiet frustration.

But I'm heartbroken...I get the special!

Picked the pack up from the boarding place this afternoon...
All three dogs had the eyes that were only half open...so...tired...

Got home, decided it might be a good idea for a nap...for all of us...

Pulled back my side of the comforter...turned around to turn a light off...
Turned back and Losi was cuddled up in my spot.

Um, Losi...would you mind moving over?
What...oh...no...i'm good here in this spot.

This is generally when i pull the covers up so that i can get in...which prompts him to move to the other side of the bed.

Nope.
Not happening this time.

I had to squeeze in...then he fell asleep right next to me with his head on my legs...

Abnormal for that guy.  He's normally just happy to be in the same room with me, but doesn't need to be touching me...like the other 3 dogs.

Not this time...he slept...snoring slightly...right beside me and didn't move.

Head to Unleashed Boarding to drop the twins and Kyra off while we head to Bend, OR w Biju.

They love Laurie and the Unleashed guys so much that I didn't even get a sad-puppy-dog-why-are-u-leaving-me look.

The gate opened...they took off...not a single look back.

I mean they're jerks clearly, but it makes me feel really good that they love it there so much.

And I'll pick them up Saturday...and they'll sleep till Monday because they'll be so exhausted running around her place for 3 days.
